The Houston Texans experienced their first taste of the NFL Playoffs last season and earned the respect of the NFL with their high powered offense and a rock solid defense.
The Texans play two Pre-Season games at Reliant Stadium. The 49ers on August 18 at 7:00 PM and the Minnesota Vikings on August 30 at 6:00 PM.

Miami Dolphins |

The 2012 Home Opener will be held September 9 against the Miami Dolphins.
The Texan defense should enjoy welcoming Dolphins rookie QB Ryan Tannehill to the NFL. Scott Altman of BleacherReport.com has this to say about the match up, “Houston's aerial attack should overwhelm Miami's shoddy secondary, and its dominant pass rush should overwhelm Miami's shoddy offensive line. The Dolphins have never beaten the Texans, and they won't this year, either. “

Tennessee Titans |

September 30 brings our Division rivals Tennessee Titans to town. Most experts pick the Titans to be number 2 in the AFC South, coming in just behind the Texans. QB Jake Locker and RB Chris Johnson will bring their A-game to Reliant Stadium.

Green Bay Packers |

The Green Bay Packers are here October 14. This should be a high scoring game on both sides as Matt Shaub and Aaron Rogers take full advantage of their offensive arsenals. This game is scheduled for 7:30 PM Sunday night so Texans Tailgating will be an all day affair.

Baltimore Ravens |

Our old buddies the Baltimore Ravens are here October 21. We got to know them pretty well in the 2011 Playoffs. The Texans will be looking to avenge their untimely exit from last year’s playoffs.

Buffalo Bills |

After a bye week at the end of October the Texans play their 3rd home game in a row November 4 against the Buffalo Bills. Mario Williams will be doing his best to have a reunion with his former QB Matt Shaub. Our offensive line will be looking forward to the challenge.

Jacksonville Jaguars |

Division rivals Jacksonville Jaguars are back in Reliant Stadium on November 18. The Texans will be ready to put one more game between them and the competition in the AFC South.

Indianapolis Colts |

The Texans are back home after a three game road trip to face the Indianapolis Colts on December 16. One has to wonder if the Colt's "Luck" will have run out by then.

Minnesota Vikings |

We kick off Christmas week with a December 23 match against the Minnesota Vikings. The Texans should be shifting into overdrive while playing for playoff positioning and a run for that big February game in New Orleans.

The Texans are hoping to keep key players healthy this year and avoid some of the mistakes that caused turnovers last season. A healthy Texans team could be a force in the division.
The NFL is only allowing 80 players in training camps this year so the team will have to trim down soon. The NFL used to allow exemptions for NFL Europe players allowing up to 90 players to be carried into training camp. Since the NFL Europe folded that exemption no longer applies.
With fewer players in camp there will be more play time and potential injuries are a real possibility.
Mike Brisiel has gone from undrafted free agent in 2006 to starting guard in the 1st week of practice. Fred Weary is still injured but should be back in July so it will be a tough race for the starting spot.
The Houston Texans gear up for another exciting year of football. This could be the year that the Texans really turn it on.

This could be the year Texans get the football rolling in the AFC's Southern Division. Starting as an expansion team in 2002 the team seems to get better each year.
Come watch it happen from great seats.
Since Gary Kubiak took the reigns of the Texans in 2006, the Texans have been gaining credibility with the NFL.
In 2007 Matt Schaub took the reigns of quarterback slot and the Texans went 8-8. Ahman Green showed a lot of promise but had health issues. Green replaced the injury prone Domanick Williams.
The Texans picked up defensive tackle Amobi Okoye to shore up the defense and Jacoby Jones to give Matt another target.
Last year's draft picks included cornerback Fred Bennett, safety Brandon Harrison, offensive tackle Brandon Frye, offensive guard Kasey Studdard, and linebacker Zach Diles.
